Our Mission is to create equitable economic opportunities for food producers, while increasing access to fresh, local food for community members.
Our Mission is to create equitable economic opportunities for food producers, while increasing access to fresh, local food for community members.
Saticoy Food Hub is a community food hub that connects small, local farmers with values-aligned institutions and businesses to create equitable, sustainable, and community-driven food systems in Ventura County.
Our Impact
Saticoy Food Hub is driving systems change by building community-owned food infrastructure that shifts power and resources to local producers, reimagines procurement and distribution, and restores equity, resilience, and cultural connection in the food system.
We bring fresh, local produce to neighborhoods most impacted by food apartheid.
We uplift local farmers—especially BIPOC, women, and first-generation growers—through training, co-design, fair markets, and institutional sales.
By sourcing directly from local farms using regenerative practices, we significantly reduce food miles and associated carbon emissions, supporting a healthier environment.
We approach health equity and environmental justice as one and the same through direct outreach, education, and programs in addition to policy advocacy and organizing.
“Saticoy Food Hub is the only true food justice organization in Ventura County.”
